GILROY - The 37th annual Co-Rec Fourth of July Softball Tournament opens play on Friday with three games at two fields.
A field of 16 teams will compete in double-elimination play in both B and C Divisions. The B championship game will be on the Fourth of July at 4:20 p.m. at Christmas Hill Park. The C championship game will be at the same time at Las Animas Park.
The C Division, with nine teams, provides four games on Friday. The Silver Bullets and Let's Bang play the 6:30 p.m. game at Las Animas. Pitch, Please plays against I Don't Know at 7:40 p.m., with Friction and McNamara Electric playing at 8:50 p.m.
Team Ronin and Lookin' to Score play in the C Division Friday at 6:30 p.m. at Christmas Hill.
Completing the Friday Christmas Hill line-up from the B Division are Gamers In Control opposite Loyalty for Life at 7:40 p.m. and Racks and Sacks taking on JR's Crew at 8:50 p.m.
