Gigante win

GILROY - Los Gigantes gained sole possession of first place in the Men's Fall C League standings Monday with a 18-2 upset of C&R Communications at Las Animas Park.

Jeremy Page, Noe DeLaTorre, Isaac Almanza, Chendo Acevedo and Eddie Vargas each homered as Los Gigantes reached 5-1 with two games left in the season. Chris Bowles homered and Martin Chapa lined an RBI-single as C&R Communications dipped to 4-2.

Most Wanted improved to 4-2 and a share of second place by defeating the VFW Vets 21-6. Julian Castaneda hit a grand slam to cap a 12-run outburst in the Wanted final frame. Lionel Ortiz drove in six Wanted runs with two homers and two singles. Joe Cano went 3-for-3 for the VFW Vets.

Tax Systems reached 4-2 by stopping DS Builders 8-4.

Tax Systems trailed 3-0 after two innings, drew even by the fourth and erupted for five runs in the fifth inning. Steve Jaquez hit two singles and scored twice for Tax Systems. Daniel Hernandez ignited the Tax fifth with an RBI-triple. Sal Flores went 2-for-3 for DS Builders (2-4).

Cencal Auto Body clinched at least a tie for the Men's D League regular-season title by topping Gamers In Control 8-5 Tuesday.

Trailing 5-3 after six, Cencal rallied for five runs in the top of the seventh, the final four with two outs. Will Clark began the inning with a triple. Isaac Seymour stroked a two-run single and scored on a Mike Richey hit to complete the comeback.

Joe Diaz went 3-for-4 for Cencal (6-1). Rudy Tovar and Steve Aguirre powered Gamers home runs.

Blackout Window Tinting is 5-2 in second place after a 13-7 win over the Players.

Jeff Wong's two-run single keyed a six-run first for Blackout. Matt Elam took Blackout batting honors with a double and two singles. Gary Barboa went 3-for-3 for the 4-3 Players.

The Hit Men edged Pacific Coast Bail Bonds 15-14 to leave both squads at 2-5.

Mario Razo homered in the fifth to complete the Hit Men scoring. Russ Chagnon, Mark Maggiora and Razo each finished with three hits. Josh Torres and Joel Gaeta each homered in a six-run Bail Bonds second inning.

Los Pistoleros moved to 7-0 atop the Men's Fall DD standings Wednesday with a 10-9 edging of Feather Haven.

Zeke Lopez and Tito Flores hit two-run homers in the top of the sixth to give Los Pistoleros a 10-3 lead. Joel Lopez and John Carrillo each managed three Los Pistoleros hits. John DeCarlo Sr. and Rob Rocha each went 3-for-3 for Feather Haven. Los Pistoleros, who have blown out most of their opponents this season, held off a seventh-inning rally to win.

Gilroy Screen Printing kept post-season plans alive by stopping the Royals 7-5. Joaquin Chacon smacked a three-run home run and Darrell Baerwaldt scored twice as the Printers moved into a tie for fourth at 2-5. Pat McGuire went 3-for-3 for the Royals (4-2-1).

George Espinoza keyed a six-run first inning with a two-run triple aiding a 14-7 Bomb Squad decision over Team Wicked. Brian Fialkowsky and Chris Stainton hit consecutive homers for Wicked.
