Trevino Brothers construct big comeback against VFW Bingo

Trevino Brothers Construction shook off an 11-2 deficit after three innings to shock VFW Bingo 18-13 in the key Men's Fall E League softball game Thursday at Las Animas Park.

Mark Guajardo began the Trevino Brothers comeback with a two-run single in a three-run fourth frame. Matt Corona sliced a two-run single as the Builders added six runs in the fifth inning.

Collin Kelly stroked two doubles as Trevino Brothers took control with seven runs in the sixth for an 18-13 lead.

Dennis Subia, Mike Drago and Rusty Trevino each scored three runs for the 2-1 winners. Jeff Castro went 4-for-5 and Mike Stephens scored three runs for 1-2 VFW Bingo.

The Borrachos are 3-0 after a 25-12 decision over Da Click.

Joey Flores, Mark Cisneros and Ralph Flores hit home runs for the Borrachos. Albert Sanchez went 4-for-5. Gonzalo Zamora hit a three-run home run as Da Click struck for seven runs in the first inning. Zamora added a solo shot in the third. Ruben Lujan went 3-for-4 and scored three runs for Da Click.

Claddagh Brew Crew edged the Good Ole Boys 11-10 behind a 3-for-3 effort from Paul Morrow.

Scott Shipper helped the Claddagh cause with two triples and a double, plating five runs. Robie Kramer and Pat Chris each went 3-for-4 for the Good Ole Boys.

The Players jumped to 3-0 atop the Men's Fall D standings Tuesday with a 10-9 nod over the Hit Men at Las Animas.

Trailing 9-7 in the bottom of the sixth, the Players responded with a three-run rally. Consecutive hits by Anthony Duran, Robert Flores, Johnny Burns and Robert Pena kept the Players unbeaten. Ernie Padillo went 4-for-4 for the Hit Men.

Cencal Auto Body is also 3-0 after a 27-19 win over Pacific Coast Bail Bonds.

Isaac Seymour and Chris Peckham hit consecutive homers to pace Cencal. Eric Tamez netted two doubles and a single, scoring five Cencal runs. Rodney Clore hit a grand slam, Josh Torres a three-run poke and Ed Turner a two-run blast for the Bondsmen.

Gilbert Ramirez and AJ Martinez each went 3-for-3 to help Gamers In Control past the Titans 18-3. Jim Lazarus went 2-for-2 and David Rose scored twice for the Titans.

Los Pistoleros are alone atop the Men's DD standings at 4-0 after a 25-2 win over the Royals Wednesday.

Joel Lopez, Danny Reyes and Lupe Lemus each homered in 4-for-4 efforts for the winners. Mario Maciel and Tom Shaver posted RBI-singles for the Royals (2-1).

The Loco Boys moved into a second-place tie at 2-1 with a 17-5 victory over Gilroy Screen Printing. Elias Madrid went 4-for-4 and Bob Lucio lined a triple, double and single for the Loco Boys. Lewis Lopez, Fausto Padilla and Val Casillas each managed two hits for the Screeners.

Joel Perez homered and Chris Stainton went 3-for-4 with three RBI to key a 13-12 Team Wicked edging of Feather Haven. Jesse Nunez homered and Brett Scott and Philip Alosi each managed three hits for Feather Haven.
