Jim Langdon caught this 5-pound trout in the East Carson River last week on the east side of the High Sierras. He was fishing with his son Jim Jr., camping at the Carson River Resort campground, east of Markleeville, Ca., near the Nevada border. During the days they fished there, the pair caught nearly 30 smaller trout, most of which they released. The fish were caught with worms, Patzkes Balls of Fire and Panther Martin spinners.
