Big card set up in Hollister
Aug 28, 2008
 By Andrew Matheson

Organizers from the Bull Dog Boxing Gym announced this week that a 20-fight card, called Hard-Hitting in Hollister, will be held this Saturday at Hollister Armory at the Hollister Municipal Airport.

"It's gonna be great," Bull Dog owner Zeke Lopez said. "We may end up with 15 (fights), but it's still good numbers."

The event will begin at 5 p.m., and includes seven fighters from the Hollister and Gilroy area. Tickets are $20 for adults, $10 for children, while those 9-and-under are free.

Fighters are expected to come from Salinas, Clovis, Tulare, Visalia and Fresno, among other places. The event will take place Saturday, Aug. 30.

Below are the local fighters competing:

- Sixto Morales, Tulare v. Diego Castro, Gilroy

- Phillip Bribiescas, Hollister v. Mario Rostro, Paso Robles

- Jeff Polston, Hollister v. Charles Porter, Paso Robles

- Matt Bribiescas, Hollister v. Jose Najera, Fresno

- Jesus Gomez, Gilroy v. TBA

- Efrin Lopez, Fresno v. Derek Shingu, Gilroy

- Nick Eneiso, Gilroy v. Mario Cuellor, Visalia
