Julie Broyer, a sophomore at Gavilan and a former Lady 'Baler, signed a National Letter of Intent on Wednesday to play softball at Wingate University in North Carolina.
Broyer graduated from San Benito High School in 2005, and has since played two seasons at Gavilan College under the guidance of manager Nikki Dequin.
As a Ram, Broyer participated in 37 games with a .370 batting average. She scored 47 runs, had 50 hits, nine doubles, four triples, six home runs and had 20 runs batted in. She had a slugging percentage of .630, an on base percentage of .487 and stole 33 bases.
Broyer will be attending Wingate in the fall.
