Feather Haven pulls off titanic comeback

Feather Haven trimmed the Titans 19-15 Tuesday to finished tied for first place in the Men's DD League at Las Animas Park.

Trailing 15-2 midway through the third inning, Feather Haven struck for eight runs in the third and six in the fourth. Rob Rocha and Ricky Gonzalez each went 4-for-4 for the winners. Vance Lee hit a grand slam and Ryan Romero tripled and singled for the Titans.

Feather Haven moved to 5-1, tied for first with the Players. Feather Haven and the Players will compete at 7:40pm on Monday May 5 at Las Animas for the first-half title.

The Players powered past Trevino Brothers Construction 21-13 to earn a fifth victory in six starts. Danny Granados homered and Gary Barboa scored three runs for the Players. Matt Corona went 4-for-4 and Mike Leslie and Brian Avante each homered for Trevino Brothers.

Brian Fialkowsky and Art Mancera each went 6-for-6 to lead Wicked past Pacific Coast Bail Bonds 33-9. Alan Hazelberg hit a triple, double and single for Pacific Coast.

Dirty Dozen and Bracco's Towing each claimed Men's CCC League wins Monday, setting up a playoff game between the clubs at 6:30pm on Monday May 5 at Las Animas.

Dirty Dozen (5-1) trailed 9-7 after six innings against Johnson Lumber. Down by one run with two out, Daniel Salinas doubled and scored on an infield error. Adam Cleveland homered to complete the scoring. Maciel Urenda, Sean Subia and Drew Ornelas each garnered three Johnson Lumber hits.

Bracco's Towing (5-1) used a home run, triple and two singles from Mario Silva to defeat Tax Systems 18-3. Memo Lopez scored four runs for the winners. Carlos Sandoval went 2-for-3 for Tax Systems.

David Carroll drilled a home run, double and three singles as the Hit Men surprised Just Drink it 28-19.

Mario Razo contributed two home runs and a double for the Hit Men. Fidel Espinosa went 4-for-5. Dave Meacham poked two home runs and Hector Hernandez went 4-for-5 for Drink.

Lozano's Let Me Hit It topped the Desperados 20-8 behind five hits from Josh Gonzalez. Steve Garrido doubled and singled for the Desperados.
