Will you vote for or against Measure P the $150 million Gilroy Unified School District facilities bond on the November ballot?
Yes: 6
No: 5
■ Probably for … I can't see how it (Christopher High School) will be built if the people don't spend the money.
■ For … it seems like a lot of money, but I feel that these bond monies will be used well and it is very much needed as Gilroy's school-age population grows ever larger each year.
■ Against. I'm very suspect of school bonds, the money never seems to end up where they promise it will go.
■ Yes. Measure J will expire. We've been paying $70.50 per
$100,000 value in our homes for 25 years. Measure P is less at $60 per
$100,000 property value.
■ AGAINST. I'm sick and tired of being taxed to death from every governmental source. The schools are going to have to do better with what they have.
■ Vote yes. I think we need to invest in our schools to make Gilroy more attractive to business and and increase our property values.
