Sheriff's blotter: Four arrested for allegedly stealing scrap metal

Sheriff's arrests
Under the influence of a controlled substance

Martin Jeff Brown, 29, of Morgan Hill, 9:54 p.m. Sunday, on the 13300 block of Kimble Court in San Martin for being under the influence of a controlled substance and probation violation.

Andrew John Ramirez, 31, of San Jose, 10:59 a.m. Sunday, near Watsonville Road and Hayes Lane in Morgan Hill for being under the influence of a controlled substance and possession of PCP.

John Ochoa Rios, 56, of Gilroy, 3:12 a.m. Saturday, near Hecker Pass Highway and Burchell Road.

Israel Raul Ruiz, 31, and Catrina Justine Cameron, 21, both of Gilroy, 1:15 a.m. Jan. 27, near Farrell and Church streets for being under the influence of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance.

Raul Ortiz, 32, of San Jose, 5:20 a.m. Jan. 23, near Monterey Road and Ogier Avenue in Morgan Hill.

Possession of a controlled substance

Renee Nicole Saldate, 33, of Gilroy, 4:13 p.m. Saturday, at Day and Night Towing, 13165 Monterey Road in San Martin.

Denise Sheri Watts, 48, of Saratoga, 1:38 p.m. Jan. 27, near Dunne Avenue and U.S. 101 in Morgan Hill for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Fraudulent use of license plate

Jonny Canseco, 22, of Morgan Hill, 7:53 a.m. Thursday, near Monterey Road and Bailey Avenue in Morgan Hill for fraudulent use of a license plate and driving without a license.

Nathan Andrew Duarte, 30, of San Martin, 1:35 p.m. Jan. 22, near Burbank Street and San Martin Avenue in San Martin.

Petty theft

Tracy Lynn Mason, 39, of Gilroy, 1 p.m. Jan. 23, near Bolsa and Bloomfield roads for petty theft of scrap metal and trespassing.

Cesar Delgado, 20, of San Jose, and Ryan Harrison, 20, of Gilroy, 3:12 p.m. Jan. 22, on the 1200 block of Bolsa Road for stealing scrap metal from Union Pacific.

Laura Alexandra Robles, 21, of Morgan Hill, 3:12 p.m. Jan. 22, on the 1200 block of Bolsa Road for possession of hypodermic needles, possession of an illegal knife, possession of drug paraphernalia, petty theft of scrap metal from Union Pacific and probation violation.

Possession of methamphetamine

Juan Manuel Gonzalez-Garcia, 25, of San Martin, 12:55 p.m. Jan. 20, near California Avenue and Water Street in San Martin for possession of methamphetamine and driving without a license.

Other sheriff's incidents
Recovered stolen vehicle

A 1990 blue Honda Accord was found near Monterey Road and Farrell Street, 4:36 a.m. Saturday.

A 1995 blue Honda Accord was found on the 1200 block of Bolsa Road, 7:48 a.m. Jan. 26.

A 1997 green Acura Integra stolen out of San Jose was found on the 100 block of Laguna Avenue in Morgan Hill, 9:40 a.m. Jan. 25.

Vehicle burglary

The windows of a 1995 beige Saturn and a 1998 green Toyota parked at Coyote Creek Park on the 8400 block of Monterey Road in Morgan Hill were broken and a stereo, binoculars and cash were stolen from inside the two cars, between 12 and 2:40 p.m. Friday.

The window of a 1999 white Volkswagen Beetle parked on the 9400 block of Burchell Road was broken and a cell phone was stolen from inside, between 3 p.m. Thursday and 10 a.m. Friday.

The window of a 2007 grey Ford pickup truck parked on the 10000 block of Hale Avenue in Morgan Hill was broken and a Sony Vaio laptop computer was stolen from inside, between 9:15 p.m. Thursday and 7:15 a.m. Friday.

A purse containing cash, credit cards and social security cards was stolen from an unlocked 2003 white Chevrolet Suburban on the 12100 block of Center Avenue in San Martin, between 5:30 and 7:35 p.m. Jan. 27.

Residential burglary

Two televisions were stolen from an unlocked residence on the 15100 block of Monterey Road in Morgan Hill, possibly by two men driving a black truck, between 6:30 a.m. and 8 p.m. Jan. 27.

Burglary

An HP Compaq desktop computer was stolen from a business on the 5600 block of Monterey Frontage Road, between 9:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. Jan. 21.

The door locks of two trailers on the 8100 block of Monterey Road in Coyote were pried open and clothing, food and stereo equipment was stolen from inside, between 12 a.m. Aug. 29 and 10:50 a.m. Jan. 23.

Tools and farm equipment were stolen from a farm on the 500 block of Peebles Avenue in Morgan Hill, between 12 p.m. Jan. 5 and 11:12 a.m. Jan. 26.

Felony theft

About $2,000 worth of tools and building material was stolen from a construction site near Fisher and Railroad avenues in Morgan Hill, between 4 p.m. Jan. 25 and 7 a.m. Jan. 26.

Identity theft

A Gilroy man's debit card was used to make an $87 charge to Metro PCS, between 12 a.m. Jan. 22 and 12:40 p.m. Jan. 25.
