Police blotter: 20-year-old arrested for burglary

Burglary

Emanuel Fregoso, 20, of the 900 block of Irish Court, 6:38 a.m. Saturday, at 1055 Montebello Drive for first degree burglary and possession of narcotics.

Public intoxication

Osvaldo Calderon, 28, of the 1000 block of Church Street, 9:45 p.m. Saturday, on the levee between Lewis and Sixth streets on four warrants for public intoxication and a warrant for urinating in public.

Rogelio Calderon, 41, transient, 6:19 p.m. Sunday, on the railroad tracks near Monterey and First street, for public intoxication.

Melchor Reyes, 54, of the 7300 block of Alexander Street, 10:22 p.m. Friday, at Newton Alley and Old Gilroy Street.

Lydia Mollett, 19, of the 7600 block of Hanna Street, 8:45 a.m. Saturday, near her residence.

Sonia Ortiz, 21, of the 7300 block of Maple Street, 10:26 p.m. Saturday, near her residence.

Battery on former spouse, fiance or girlfriend

Edyln Alanis, 21, of Salinas, 3:27 a.m. Saturday, at Gilroy Shell and Car Wash, 400 Leavesley Road.

Possession of an illegal weapon

Jaime Favaloro, 29, of Hollister, 5:45 a.m. Saturday, at Cameron Boulevard and Highway 152 for outstanding warrants for possession of an illegal weapon and willful disobedience of a court order.

Under the influence of controlled substance

Jonathon Arroyo, 20, of the 500 block of Grant Court, 1:45 p.m. Saturday, at Wal-Mart, 7150 Camino Arroyo.

Reckless driving

Jesus Arellano, 31, of the 9200 block of Church Street, 5:21 p.m., at Lewis and Monterey streets for reckless driving and driving without a required smog device.

DUI

John Valderrama, 47, of the 1000 block of Armand Court, 8:57 p.m. Saturday, at Armand Court and Wren Avenue.

Drug possession

Salvador Delirio, 53, transient, 9:51 p.m. Saturday, at Smart & Final, 270 E. 10th St., on a warrant.

Ruby Huerta, 46, of Chowchilla, 11:16 p.m. Sunday, at Monterey Road and Travel Park Circle for possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving without a license, and warrants for driving without a license and driving without registration.

Passing a fictitious check

Robert Dominguez, 36, of the 500 block of Old Gilroy Street, at his residence for making or passing a fictitious check and for appropriating more than $400 worth of lost property whose owner he knew.

Selling or aiding in selling stolen property

Angelo Ortega, 37, of San Juan Bautista, 2:56 p.m. Monday, at the Gilroy Crossings, 6915 Camino Arroyo, for selling or aiding in selling stolen property, forgery, possession of controlled substance, and warrants for driving while using a cell phone and reckless driving.

Vandalism

Ty Asselin, 23, transient, 3:54 p.m. Monday, at Motel 6, 6110 Monterey Road, for committing an act of vandalism causing more than $500 in damage and inflicting corporal injury on a spouse or cohabitant.

Driving without a license

Jimmy Prado, 21, of the 7200 block of Church Street, 11 a.m. Monday, at the Gilroy Police Department, 7301 Hanna St., on warrants for driving with suspended privileges, driving without insurance and failing to yield the right of way to a pedestrian.

Petty theft

Fredy Romero, 24, of the 3000 block of Dryden Avenue, 6:14 p.m. Monday, at Greyhound Bus Lines, 7250 Monterey St., on a warrant.
