Police blotter: Truck driver taken in for immigration hold

Petty Theft

Joey Hernandez, 21, of the 1400 block of Amber Court, 5:14 p.m. Friday, at Wal-Mart, 7150 Camino Arroyo.

Possession of a controlled substance

Bernardo Acosta, 32, of the 8300 block of Monterey Street, 11:36 p.m. Friday, at his residence for possession of a controlled substance and driving while unlicensed.

Jason Horta, 37, of the 300 block of Seventh Street, 2:54 a.m. Saturday, near Hanna and Eighth streets for possession of a controlled substance and resisting, delaying or obstructing police.

Driving under the influence

Jorge Lopez, 18, of the 400 block of Broadway, 2:19 a.m. Saturday, at El Rio Nilo Club, 7474 Monterey St., for driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs and driving without a license.

Public intoxication

Felipe Garcia, 46, transient, 5:58 p.m. Saturday, at 7-Eleven, 370 Leavesley Road.

Cesar Navarro, 19, of the 7200 block of Dowdy Street, 12:36 a.m. Saturday, near his residence for public intoxication.

Domestic abuse

Stephanie Williams, 47, of the 700 block of Fifth Street, 8:40 p.m. Saturday, at her residence.

Immigration hold

Jose Vega, 45, a truck driver from Lamont, 2:38 p.m. Saturday, near Leavesley Road and U.S. 101.

Reckless driving

Adan Lopez, 37, of the 7100 block of Church Street, 10:14 p.m. Saturday, near his residence for improperly overtaking a vehicle, reckless driving and driving without a license.

Driving under the influence

Marco Olvera, 21, of the 9500 block of Kern Avenue, 2:28 a.m. Sunday, near Monterey and Pierce streets for driving under the influence of alcohol and hit and run.
