VandalismWires on an irrigation control unit were cut, causing about $3 in damage, and a post was tagged with the letters VTS on the 7200 block of Holsclaw Road, between 8 a.m. Sept. 1, 2008 and 7:15 a.m. Friday.
Identity theft
A Morgan Hill man's credit card was used to make $2,148.38 worth of purchases, between 12 p.m. April 1 and 9:55 a.m. June 8.
Residential burglary
About $1,700 worth of electronic equipment was taken from a residence on the 200 block of Sheller Avenue in Morgan Hill, between 3 a.m. June 14 and 2 p.m. June 15. The burglar or burglars removed a security camera from a gate leading up to the property and broke a small window on the front door.
A residence on the 4800 block of Hecker Pass Highway was broken into and the bathroom was searched for prescription medicine but nothing was taken. The burglar or burglars broke a glass window at the rear of the house to get in.
Burglary
Power tools and a horse saddle, total value of $4,000, were stolen from a semi-truck parked in an open field on the 12400 block of Murphy Avenue in San Martin. The locked doors had been pried open.
Lost passport
A San Martin man reported losing his passport between 12 p.m. Dec. 1, 2008 and 2:50 p.m. June 16. The Mexican Consulate instructed him to obtain a written police report to replace his passport.
Grand theft
About 80 river rock landscaping stones worth $800 were stolen from the back yard of a residence on the 11000 block of New Avenue, between 12 p.m. and 12:40 p.m. June 16.
Petty theft
A GPS worth $150 was stolen from an unlocked 2003 white Chevrolet Suburban on the 600 block of Powder Horn Court in San Martin, between 8 p.m. June 13 and 10:30 a.m. June 14.
Recovered stolen vehicle
A 1998 green Volvo S70 stolen out of Gilroy was found near Bolsa Road and Bloomfield Avenue, 11:20 a.m. June 15.
