Assemblymember to help address state budget
Nov 10, 2008
 By Dispatch Staff

Assemblymember John Laird (D-Santa Cruz) was named the chair of the 4th Extraordinary Special Session Assembly Budget Committee, which was requested by Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger as a result of the affect of the fiscal crisis on the state budget. The committee will complete its work by Nov. 30.

As revenues have fallen by $11.2 billion for the 2008-2009 fiscal year, the committee will address budget cuts immediately.

For more information, contact Laid at the main district office in Santa Cruz at (831) 425-1503.
