Sheriff's incidents
VandalismThe window of a 1989 white and maroon Chevrolet van was broken, between 12:30 a.m. and 1 a.m. Nov. 1, on the 60 block of East San Martin Avenue in San Martin. The victim estimated the window would cost $300 to replace.
Auto burglary
A purse was stolen from a 2002 grey Nissan Quest, between 1:30 p.m. and 2:11 p.m. Oct. 31, on the 100 block of North Street in San Martin at San Martin Elementary School.
Insurance paperwork was stolen from a 1989 brown Toyota Camry, between 11 a.m. and 11:40 a.m. Oct. 31, on the 13500 block of Monterey Road in San Martin.
Residential burglary
Nearly $1,500 worth of property, including a $500 air compressor, was stolen from a locked storage structure, about 3 a.m. Oct. 29, on the 3500 block of Hecker Pass Highway. The structure's lock had been cut.
Grand theft
A 50-year-old man from Prescott, Arizona, is suspected to have stolen $1,420 worth of property, including a $300 battery charger, from a hangar at South County Airport in San Martin, between 12 p.m. Sept. 25 and 8:08 p.m. Oct. 10.
$1,100 worth of property, including a $900 jackhammer, was stolen, between 5 p.m. Oct. 27 and 5:30 a.m. Oct. 28, from a job site on the 3300 block of Pacheco Pass Road.
Stolen vehicle
An inoperable 1965 beige Buick Riviera was stolen, between 8 p.m. Oct. 25 and 10 a.m. Oct. 26, from a residence on the 17000 block of Shady Lane Drive in Morgan Hill.
