Sheriff's arrests
Under the influence of a controlled substance

Anthony Wallace, 39, of Antioch, 10:42 a.m. Monday, near U.S. 101 and Tennant Avenue in Morgan Hill for being under the influence of a controlled substance and possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.

Marco Antonio Avila, 20, of Gilroy, 11:27 a.m. Saturday, near U.S. 101 and San Martin Avenue in San Martin.

Furnishing alcohol to a minor

Carlos Solorio, 32, of San Jose, 10:33 p.m. Friday, on the 14200 block of Llagas Avenue in San Martin.

Alfredo Bentancourt, 25, of East Palo Alto, 10:33 p.m. Friday, on the 14200 block of Llagas Avenue in San Martin.

Tresspassing

Alexander Villalobos, 19, of San Jose, 10:33 p.m. Friday, on the 14200 block of Llagas Avenue in San Martin.

Other sheriff's incidents
Stolen vehicle

A 1996 gold Pontiac Grand Am was stolen, between 5 p.m. Aug. 25 and 5 p.m. Aug. 27, near South and Monterey streets in Hollister.

A 1999 green Ford F350 was stolen, between 3 p.m. Aug. 28 and 4 p.m. Friday, near Carls Court and Monterey Highway in San Martin. The keys had been left under the driver's seat and the vehicle left unlocked.

Vehicle burglary

A green camouflage leather wallet was stolen from a 2005 silver Chevy Silverado, between 5:10 p.m. and 5:40 p.m. Saturday, near Monterey Road and California Avenue in San Martin. The window of the vehicle had been broken during the burglary.

Grand theft

A 70- by 30-foot section of black batting cage netting, worth about $1,200, was stolen, between 3 p.m. Aug. 24 and 2 p.m. Aug. 27, near Santa Teresa Boulevard and Castro Valley Road.

Residential burglary

Miscellaneous tools and equipment, worth about $2,200, was stolen from a locked barn, between 9:30 p.m. Aug. 25 and 11 a.m. Aug. 26, on the 14100 block of Columbet Avenue in San Martin.

Found property

A small safe was found, 11:30 a.m. Aug. 27, dumped in a creek on the 6300 block of Little Uvas Road in Morgan Hill.
