Petty theft

Ray Lumbard, 21, of Morgan Hill, 4:51 a.m. Wednesday, near Kennedy Court and Murray Avenue on a warrant.

Possession of a controlled substance for sale

Jose Miranda, 20, of the 7200 block of Hanna Street, 2:47 a.m. Wednesday, near Eighth and Rosanna streets for an improper bike headlight, possession of ammunition while being a person prohibited from owning ammunition, possession of a controlled substance for sale and failure to stop.

Possession of a controlled substance

Alfred Martinez, 35, transient, 12:08 p.m. Wednesday, near Forest Avenue and Seventh Street for possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and being under the influence of a controlled substance.

Assault with a deadly weapon

Marvin Bullock, 44, of the 5800 block of Monterey Frontage Road, 2:20 p.m. Wednesday, near Monterey Frontage Road and U.S. 101.

Edward Martinez, 33, transient, 10:05 a.m. Wednesday, near Mantelli Drive and Wren Avenue on warrants for assault with a deadly weapon, failure to appear in court, driving without a license and disobeying a traffic sign.

Contempt of court

Manuel Rocha, 35, of the 400 block of IOOF Avenue, 1:27 p.m. Wednesday, at the Gilroy Police Department, 7301 Hanna St.
