Police search for wallet thieves
Aug 27, 2008
 By Chris Bone

Police are searching for this couple, seen as they exit Wal-Mart earlier this month.
Police are searching for two suspects who stole a wallet from a fellow Wal-Mart customer who left it on a check-out counter. Security footage shows the female in the image signaling toward the wallet while in line with the other adult, who holds a baby. The second suspect picked up the wallet as the two rolled their cart away, taking $400 along with assorted credit and identification cards, police said.

The incident took place just before noon, Aug. 1, at the Super Wal-Mart, 7150 Camino Arroyo.

Police said the victim was not from Gilroy, but did not specify who the wallet belonged to.

Anyone with information can call police at 846-0350, or leave an anonymous tip at 846-0330.
