Possession of marijuana

Shawn Pershing, 45, of the 1600 block of Carmel Street, 1:27 a.m. Thursday, at 905 First St. for parole hold, possession of marijuana, possession of burglary tools, possession of a controlled substance and on warrants for willfully disobeying a court order and possession of fireworks.

Burglary

Frank Shimabukuro, 42, of Watsonville, 1:27 a.m. Thursday, at 905 First St. on warrants for burglary and possession of burglary tools.

Trespassing

Jorge Lovin, 38, transient, 10:25 a.m. Friday, at an unspecified location near Ninth Street for trespassing and on a warrant for trespassing.

Edilberto Garcia, 22, transient, 10:21 a.m. Friday, near Alexander and Ninth streets.

Jeannette Gardner, 39, transient, 10:21 a.m. Friday, near Alexander and Ninth streets.

Petty theft

Roberta Pecot, 46, of the 500 block of Lewis Street, 12:39 a.m. Saturday, at Wal-Mart, 7150 Camino Arroyo.

Under the influence of a controlled substance

Carolina Granados, 30, of the 8500 block of Wren Avenue, 11:56 p.m. Saturday, at 7287 Monterey St.

Juventino Verduzco, 42, transient, 4:48 a.m. Sunday, on the 500 block of 10th St. on warrants for being under the influence of a controlled substance and public intoxication.

Chris Upchurch, 53, transient, 11:40 a.m. Sunday, near Wren Avenue and First Streets on warrants for being under the influence of a controlled substance and public intoxication.

Eriberto Robles, 29, transient, 2:15 p.m. Saturday, near 10th and Monterey streets on a warrant.

Luis Lara, 28, of Bellflower, 1:25 a.m. Saturday, at 7500 Monterey St.

Luis Gonzalez Jimenez, 28, transient, 10:30 a.m. Friday, near Ninth and Alexander streets on a warrant.

James Blanco, 46, transient, 10 a.m. Wednesday, at the Gilroy Police Department, 7301 Hanna St., on two warrants.

Jaime Diaz, 51, of the 100 block of Old Gilroy Street, 10:45 a.m. Friday, near Ninth and Old Gilroy streets on a warrant.

Possession of a controlled substance

Debra Zabala, 48, of the 5800 block of Garlic Farm Way, 9:55 a.m. Thursday, at her residence for possession of narcotics paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance and on parole hold.

Susan Landavazo, 45, of the 7600 block of Church Street, 5:58 a.m. Friday, at 480 IOOF Ave. for possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana and possession of a firearm by a felon.

Driving with a suspended license

John Sumner, 21, of the 400 block of Broadway, 1:20 p.m. Friday, near Hanna Street and El Toro Way for driving with expired registration and driving without an expired license.

Passing a fictitious check

Mateo Alvarez, 29, of the 1500 block of Margarita Place, 11:51 a.m. Friday, at 7237 Monterey St. for making or passing fictitious checks and identity theft.

Battery

Megan Palmer, 20, of the 700 block of St Clar Avenue, 2:38 p.m. Friday, at her residence for threatening to commit a crime resulting in death, child endangerment and battery.

Assault

Mario Cardozamartinez, 22, of the 400 block of Burke Street, 1:47 a.m. Friday, near Eigleberry and Third streets for assault, threatening to commit crime resulting in great bodily injury or death and false imprisonment.

Vandalism

Margaret Campos, 61, of the 900 block of Montebello Drive, 2:26 p.m. Friday, at 777 First St.

Parole hold

Richard Velador, 24, of the 400 block of IOOF Avenue, 5:58 a.m. Friday, at his residence.

Possession of a firearm by a felon

Celsa Velador, 22, of the 400 block of IOOF Avenue, 5:58 a.m. Friday, at her residence for possession of a controlled substance, possession of a firearm by a felon, robbery, possession of stolen property, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana.

Resisting a peace officer

Joseph Hanson, 26, of the 500 block of 10th Street, 4:33 p.m. Friday, at his residence for resisting a peace officer and probation violation.

Linda Bird, 49, transient, 9:05 p.m. Friday, at the Gilroy Police Department, 7301 Hanna St., on warrants for trespassing and public intoxication.

Christopher Valdez, 21, of the 7200 block of Dowdy Street, 12:35 p.m. Sunday, near Dowdy and Seventh streets.
