A Morgan Hill man who was arrested three times for driving under the influence during a recent anti-drinking and driving campaign was arrested twice this summer in San Jose for alcohol-related offenses and was in Santa Clara County Criminal Court Thursday to enter a plea.
Anthony Maher, 20, was arrested June 19 and July 2. Thursday, he pleaded no contest to separate charges of resisting arrest and drunk in public, according to Santa Clara County District Attorney's Office representative Amy Cornell. He was sentenced to 10 days in county jail.
On June 19, he was booked on suspicion of being drunk in public, under the influence of a controlled substance and resisting arrest.
At 3:22 a.m. July 2, he was cited for being drunk in public.
Maher, who was 19 at the time, was arrested Dec. 16 on Hale Avenue, Dec. 23 on Condit Road and Dec. 27 on E. Dunne Avenue.
