A 21-year-old man on a skateboard was stabbed by a group of men after he refused their demands for his property.
At 11:51 p.m. Aug. 22, the victim was alone near the 1000 block of First Street when he was confronted by several Hispanic males. He was attacked and stabbed by the group of men, who then stole his property and fled.
Several pedestrians who found the man lying in a parking lot flagged down a motorist for help. The motorist called police who arrived and determined the victim had been stabbed several times.
Police provided medical aid and the victim was taken to a trauma center where he was recovering from his injuries.
