A 69-year-old Hollister man died when he lost control of his car and it overturned Sunday afternoon on Highway 101.
He was southbound on Highway 101 - south of Coyote Creek Golf Drive - when he lost control of a 2004 Chevrolet for unknown reasons, hit the center divider, traveled back into the road and overturned, according to a press release from the California Highway Patrol.
He was pronounced dead at the scene. The man was the only person in the car.
A CHP spokesman with the Hollister-Gilroy office declined to release a name and said family is being notified.
